This is one of my early poetic efforts when in school at Hanover . . . men's suits were coming out with padding in the shoulders and I had to express myself, I guess. I submitted it to Hill Thoughts, the official literary magazine of Hanover College, but the faculty advisor for the publication returned it to me without comment, and looked at me with jaundiced eye from that point forward . . . probably backward, too. bill
